Introduction Mass Communication is a collective term used to describe the academic study of various means of communication by which individuals and entities relay information to large segments of the population all at once through mass media. The Mass Communication is the study of mass media and mass media includes all types of medium used to convey the information to the audience. Journalism being concerned with collection and dissemination of news through the print media as well as the electronic media, involves various areas of works like reporting, writing, editing, photographing, broadcasting or cable casting news items. The graduates of Journalism and Mass Communication programs work in a variety of fields in news media and publishing, public relations and research institutes.
